The Opportunity

Yura Yarta is currently seeking skilled and reliable Civil Workers to join our team for an immediate start in the Cooper Basin (Moomba, SA).

We have opportunities for HR Truck Drivers, Civil Labourers, Maintenance Workers, and Concreters with strong civil construction and infrastructure maintenance experience — ideally from council or public works backgrounds.

This full-time permanent role offers stability and variety, working a 19:9 FIFO roster (ex-Adelaide Airport) with camp accommodation and meals provided. You'll work 10-hour days with daily penalty rates and be part of a supportive, safety-focused team.

Key Responsibilities

This role involves a mix of civil maintenance and construction tasks, including:

• General civil labouring, maintenance, and site preparation work
• Operating HR trucks, loaders, or other construction machinery (if licensed)
• Concrete works — pouring, screeding, finishing, and repairing surfaces
• Installation and maintenance of formwork systems and reinforcement
• Assisting with roadworks, drainage, culverts, and pathway repairs
• Performing general maintenance of civil and site infrastructure assets
• Manual handling, lifting, and moving materials safely
• Supporting shutdown and maintenance programs as required
• Ensuring compliance with safety and permit-to-work procedures

About You – Essential Requirements

• This is a targeted position for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates.
• Must reside in South Australia (interstate applications not considered)
• Current Driver's Licence (HR or HC preferred)
• White Card (Construction Induction)
• National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience in one or more of the following:
• HR truck driving
• Civil labouring or maintenance
• Concreting, formwork, or steel fixing
• Council/public works or site maintenance
• Gas Detection and Permit to Work (or willingness to undertake training)
• Physically fit and comfortable working in remote outdoor conditions
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
