Overview:
Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.
Responsibilities:
The Ecosystem Partner Manager plays a key role in advancing Atlassian's Cloud-first vision by managing a large portfolio of partners across the APAC region and supporting our broader Partner Management team. APAC represents one of the most exciting growth markets for our Cloud platform, and this role carries a meaningful responsibility — to guide partners toward full commitment to Atlassian's Cloud strategy while helping them deliver solutions across the entire Atlassian portfolio.
As Atlassian continues to grow, we're expanding our channel ecosystem with system integrators (SIs) and traditional Atlassian partners, through scalable, technology-enabled programs. We're looking for an exceptional individual who understands the channel business and can effectively align and inspire partners across the region to accelerate Cloud adoption.
Success in this role requires a deep understanding of partner ecosystems, strong analytical and relationship-building skills, and the ability to influence and enable partners through technology — ensuring alignment with Atlassian's Cloud transformation goals.
You'll also need a solid understanding of core business tools such as Salesforce (SFDC), along with a strong ability to troubleshoot and navigate complex backend procedures, internal programs, and processes.
This role is preferably based in Atlassian's Sydney office, though remote work within Australia is also supported.
More about you:Are you a highly motivated and analytically driven business professional with a strong attention to detail? We're looking for someone who is self-driven, proactive, and passionate about supporting channel initiatives while keeping sight of the broader business strategy. You'll play a key role in ensuring that our decisions and partnerships align with our cloud-first future.
You have hands-on experience working directly with partners — understanding their business models, culture, and needs — and you know how to motivate and empower them to succeed. This role spans multiple regions, including India, Japan, and Australia/New Zealand, so experience working across diverse markets is essential. Fluency in English and Japanese is required.
Key Results Area:- Collaborate with partners to execute the Atlassian Channel business charter, ensuring alignment towards cloud solutions.
- Lead all engagements regarding our offerings, providing authoritative and confident responses to program-related inquiries.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of partners across the region and the cloud requirements pertinent to relevant markets.
- Possess a thorough understanding of Atlassian products to facilitate credible and informed discussions with partners regarding solution capabilities.
- Acquire in-depth insight into partners' business models, product portfolios, and performance metrics.
- Identify Atlassian solutions that require enhanced partner training and educational initiatives.
- Effectively manage a diverse portfolio of partners at scale, while discerning those with significant growth potential
- Focusing on the large Silver and Gold Partners on expertly providing an Atlassian cloud first solution.
- The ability to work with the Atlassian Partner Managers to assist and support them with complex internal and external challenges.
- Be the first person who identifies local blockers against Cloud adoption and have the ability to communicate them with appropriate internal Atlassian teams.
- Ensure partner engagement on Atlassian product including assisting them on education and growing their potential with our suite of products.
- Understand your partner's business and their products, building rapport and value in the working relationship.
- Work with the partners on sustaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Key Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- Minimum 5-8 years' experience in this market, working with partners using an 'at scale' model.
- Ability to educate partners to connect with customers through highly scaled, technology-enabled services.
- Demonstrates persistence and overcomes obstacles.
- Experience showing ability to establish and maintain relationships effectively.
- Ability to understand the partners across the region (India, Japan and Au/Nz with the ability to deliver solutions, not just resell licenses.
- Outgoing, self-motivated, organised, creative, respectful, with integrity and a can-do attitude.
- Professional oral and written communication skills in English and Japanese.
