Group Accountant
. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in 
Perth

About the Role:

As our
Group Accountant
, you would be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the company, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role focuses on financial management, reporting, and compliance across all of Grounded Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management.
  • Working with external accountants to ensure timely submission of tax, superannuation, and compliance obligations.
  • Maintain accurate reconciliations and financial records to support audits and internal controls.
  • Assist the CFO with management reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Lead improvements in financial systems, policies, and procedures to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Act as a systems champion, managing integrations, updates, and user support across finance platforms (e.g. Xero, Workbench).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective financial communication and decision-making support.
  • Contribute to special projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management or a similar role.
  • Experience in Construction, Mining & Property preferred
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance.
  • Proficiency in financial software (XERO) and ERP systems.
