ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Resources team supporting the long-term Civil and Electrical Construction scopes at Barrow Island.

As the Senior Project Engineer you will be reporting to the Project Manager and you will be responsible for responsible for coordinating the execution of a diverse range of scopes, ensuring works are completed safely, in a timely and costly manner, and to the highest construction standards.

ABOUT BARROW ISLAND

Barrow Island is located around 60 kilometres from the mainland and approximately 139 kilometres west of the Port of Dampier. It's also home to Chevron's Gorgon Project and WA Oil operations. It is the largest oil field discovered in Western Australia. Ertech has been a major service provider to Chevron Australia's Gorgon Project for over 10 years.

Barrow Island provides excellent on-site accommodation including meal services, as well as gym facilities (mixed and separate gyms available for men & women with a variety of fitness classes to choose from), sporting facilities including a football field, golf simulator, bike hire, 2 swimming pools, basketball court, tennis court and a cricket pitch

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Take responsibility for delivering the project scope to a high standard, on time and within budget.
• Provide and seek technical advice on design, construction and program modifications
• Maintain strong project performance in challenging circumstances, taking ownership of issues and driving resolutions.
• Apply sound commercial understanding to decision-making, ensuring costs and profitability are effectively managed.
• Contribute to the overall financial and operational success of the project team.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive engagement and clear communication.
• Ensure project deliverables meet client needs, budget requirements, construction program milestones, contractual obligations, and quality standards.
• Support, mentor, and contribute to the success of colleagues within the project team.
• Ensure subcontractors comply with company policies, procedures, and HSEQ standards.
• Promote and maintain a safe working environment, ensuring compliance with project HSEQ plans.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering (essential) and Project Management (desirable).
• Key mandatory experience and disciplines – working on civil and earthworks packages within an Oil and Gas worksite or Minesite environment
• Highly regarded disciplines also include – building construction & renovations, HVAC systems, roads, structures / concrete, E&I works, mine site infrastructure, piling and/or marine works
• Highly regarded skills included – Oracle Primavera P6
• Leadership skills and experience managing medium crews.
• Hands on experience gained within a contractor environment in similar industries.
• Proven engineering, project controls and contractual management skills.
• Previous on-site resources industry experience.
• MUST hold relevant Australian working rights.
