The Opportunity
We're looking for a driven and collaborative Scientific Proposal Analyst to join our Projects & Proposals team on a permanent, full-time basis.
What You'll Do
Reporting to the Director - Projects & Proposals, you will utilise your high-level scientific skills to research and assess bioanalytical opportunities; including performing scientific review of literature, client methodologies and clinical protocols of relevance to the business opportunity, in order to develop cost-based proposals. Key responsibilities include:
- Analysis of client RFP's, methodologies, clinical protocols, and information to support accurate scoping.
- Timely and quality preparation of client Quotes/Proposals, Project Agreements and Change Orders in consultation with scientific SME's, project managers, study directors and Business Development.
- As necessary, participate in client scoping calls to derive scientific and project requirements, with an aim to minimise overall project assumptions.
- As necessary, participate in operational handover calls upon award of study to facilitate the smooth transition of project scope and commercial details from the BD process into operations for delivery.
- Maintain information about client proposals, projects and change orders in our CRM tool.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance departmental outcomes.
- Other duties as directed by Line Management or delegate.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- Degree in the appropriate discipline or appropriate industry experience
- Excellent oral and written communications skills including the ability to prepare reports, proposals, policies and procedures.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to set priorities, analyse problems, formulate clear and effective solutions and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative in problem solving and in exercising judgement
- Commercial mindset
- Committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Maintain strict adherence to client confidentiality issues
- Intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office suite, particularly Excel
- Bio-analytical experience across immunoassay, immunobiology, cell biology or chromatographic bioanalysis is desirable.
- Knowledge of the clinical/preclinical trials landscape is highly desirable.
