About the role

Join the team at Wellington Road Bistro as a full-time Chef. We're brand new and have hit the ground running, we're ready to expand our kitchen team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking European meals for our busy little bistro in East Brisbane.

What you'll be doing

  1. Prepare and cook a variety of dishes from our seasonally inspired menu
  2. Ensure all meals are presented to the highest standard
  3. Maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment
  4. Collaborate with the kitchen team to optimise workflow and reduce waste
  5. Provide training and guidance to junior kitchen staff
  6. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

  1. Formal qualification in Cooking or equivalent industry experience
  2. Proven track record of working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  3. Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  4. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  5. Passion for creating innovative, delicious meals
  6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  7. Ability to remain calm under pressure
