Adrian William is a leading real estate company located in Sydney's Inner West, seeking a full time sales trust accountant to join our fun and diverse team. Working alongside our existing sales trust accountant, the successful candidate would be be contributing to the ongoing success of one of the state's leading residential sales teams.

About you:

  • A qualified trust accountant with the required real estate licence qualifications to work with real estate trust accounts
  • Experience in accounting/book-keeping in a real estate capacity
  • Willing to work a Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm role
  • Willing to work from home full time or part time
  • Great attention to detail and communication skills
  • (Preferred - fluency in Mandarin, as our existing trust accountant is fluent in mandarin and this would benefit communication)

About the role:

  • Manage daily sales trust accounting operations in line with the Property and Stock Agents Act 2002 (NSW) and Regulation 2022.
  • Process deposits, settlements, and commission disbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Reconcile trust accounts and prepare monthly trust reconciliations and statements.
  • Oversee the receipting and disbursement of funds for property sales.
  • Liaise with solicitors, conveyancers, agents, and clients regarding trust-related transactions.
  • Maintain meticulous trust account documentation and audit trails.
  • Assist with end-of-month and end-of-financial-year procedures.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual trust audits.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies with professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Support the wider sales administration and finance team in regular book-keeping activities.

Note - this is a sales accounting/bookkeeping role and doesn't require any property management trust accounting, though you will liaise with the property management trust accountant from time to time. You will have assistance from our external business accountant and work alongside our existing sales trust accountant, who has been in the role for nearly 5 years.
