The Australian Services Union – Victorian and Tasmanian Authorities & Services Branch is seeking a committed and dynamic Educator (0.5FTE) to join our team and help empower workers across local government, water, energy, and social and community services.
About Us
The ASU is one of Australia's largest and most progressive unions, advocating for fairness, equity, and dignity in the workplace. Our Victorian and Tasmanian Branch is deeply committed to supporting members, building strong workplace representation, and driving campaigns that improve working lives.
The ASU is an organising union that protects and improves our members' working lives. Our union is growing, using strategies to bring workers together to collectively stand to improve wages and conditions. Delegate development is central to everything we do as we see this as fundamental to continuing to grow and build power as a union.

- Participate in the continuous improvement of the ASU's training program.
- Assist in upskilling staff to be involved in delegate and HSR development.
- Work with branch staff on major ASU campaigns to provide training and education for delegates involved in those campaigns.
- Ensure compliance with our WorkSafe accountabilities as an accredited training body.
We're Seeking Someone With
- A deep commitment to the union movement and social justice.
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
- Excellent time management, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in developing and delivering training and education in an adult learning environment.
- Ability to work in a co-operative and consultative manner.
- A solid, detailed understanding of the OHS Act (or an ability to rapidly acquire the same).
- A current driver's license and willingness to travel across Victoria and Tasmania from time to time.
Why Join Us?
- Meaningful work that makes a real difference in people's lives.
- Supportive team culture with mentoring and professional development.
- Flexible work arrangements and travel opportunities.
