Insite Engineering is a boutique engineering consultancy that specialises in the assessment and remediation of existing building facades and structures. The Insite engineering team prides itself on being a collective of technically accomplished engineers capable of undertaking tasks 'out from behind the desk'. Our valued clients know and trust us to be 'hands on engineers' who always strive to provide 'value add' outcomes.

Insite Engineering is looking for an applicant who is practically minded and can think outside the box. The role would be ideally suited to someone that has a background in Façade/Civil/Structural/Materials/Durability Engineering, at a level which includes graduate/engineer with an interest in buildings/structures whilst also having a head for heights.

The applicant must have eligibility to work in Australia or must be an Australian resident. Working hours would be 40 hours per week however, flexible hours can be discussed.  Our main office is located in Melbourne's CBD, flexible working (working from home) is encouraged within our business when not required to be in the office or working on-site.

Our clients include prominent universities, large commercial property portfolios, building management firms and high-end residential tower owners corporations. You will be joining a friendly team of engineers in a rapidly growing niche industry.  Our company model values and encourages individual career progression, based on personal ambitions and aptitude.

Skills and Experience would generally include:

  • Engineering qualification & industry experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Practical knowledge and hands-on skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • A willingness to work at heights - rope access training would be provided for suitable and willing applicants
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills highly regarded
  • Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
  • Rope access training and experience highly regarded
  • Full Australian drivers licence.

Your day-to-day responsibilities would likely include:

  • Site based facade assessments and structural investigations
  • Detailed technical report writing
  • Preparation of technical documentation
  • Preparation of tender documentation
  • Project management of remedial works
  • Contractor management and practical completion inspections.
