The role

The Technical Coach reports to the Technical Capability Manager, Recoveries & Settlements.

The purpose of this role is to train and enhance competencies of our Recoveries and Settlements claims consultants whilst improving processes and performance through training activities and process refinement to create a culture of high performance with high integrity within the Motor Claims Operation.

The Technical Coach provides expert technical guidance and leadership to Recoveries and Settlements consultants.

As the Technical Coach, you will be responsible for supporting Team Leaders to uplift consultant capability to ensure effective management and resolution of complex Motor Insurance Claims while promoting adherence to established policies and procedures.

The Technical Coach will contribute indirectly to the financial performance and overall customer satisfaction through improved technical capability of the claims team.

Most important will be the technical capability growth of our claims consultants, which will provide our employees with the opportunity to develop and progress in their career at Auto & General.

What experience you'll bring

  • 3-5 years Motor Claims experience
  • Strong working knowledge of insurance, recoveries and claims management relative to applicable legislation, processes and industry best practice.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Exceptional communication (both verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with various stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage and develop others.
