Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is eager to recruit an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic, growing and supportive team, to help us deliver exceptional care to our community.
About the Role:
The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is a leading provider of public healthcare services in South Australia.
The Supportive Weekend Interprofessional Flow Team (SWIFT) are integral in assisting NALHN to achieve maximum patient discharges, particularly over the weekend periods. SWIFT is a multi-disciplinary team who identify patients who are ready for, or nearing discharge, to ensure all requirements for discharge are completed, with the goal of eliminating or reducing preventable delays to discharge across 7 days.
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you'll provide specialist occupational therapy services to patients requiring rapid assessment and intervention. This position combines the fast-paced environment of acute care with the satisfaction of helping patients achieve optimal functional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for acute patients
- develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans
- collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff
- contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service development
To be eligible for this position, you must hold an appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which entitles registration as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia.

Lyell McEwin Hospital – The major hospital in the north and north-east for emergency care, complex and multi-day surgery, medicine, obstetrics, paediatrics and outpatient services.
