Are you an Occupational Therapist who's passionate about helping people learn skills to enrich their life, while feeling equally supported in your own growth and wellbeing?
At Learn for Life, we're passionate about helping people of all ages build meaningful skills for everyday life, and just as passionate about making sure our therapists feel resourced, connected, and cared for.
We're looking for an enthusiastic OT who is eager to contribute to meaningful outcomes, deliver goal-orientated therapy and grow alongside a supportive team. Early career and experienced therapists are encouraged to apply.
About Learn for Life
Learn for Life is a client-centred Occupational Therapy practice based in Torrensville, SA We provide both clinic and community-based services across Metropolitan Adelaide, working with children, adolescents and adults. Our team culture is relaxed and supportive, with lots of collaboration. We share our clinic space with a speech pathology practice, making interdisciplinary learning and holistic care a natural part of what we do.
What the Role Looks Like
- Caseload tailored to you – mostly paediatrics, with opportunities to work with adolescents and adults depending on your interests and strengths.
- Gradual and manageable start – we ease you in with a paced caseload so you can build confidence without feeling overwhelmed.
- Sustainable workload – capped KPIs and realistic caseloads, so you can focus on meaningful therapy rather than chasing numbers.
- Flexibility in your week – shape your schedule with earlier or later start times, dedicated time for admin and PD, plus up to two work-from-home afternoons each week.
- Variety in your work – clinic, home, school and community sessions, collaborating closely with families, carers and educators.
- A connected team environment – you'll work alongside a supportive group of OTs and speech pathologists, with plenty of opportunities to share ideas and celebrate wins.
What We Offer
We know that when therapists feel supported, clients get the best care. That's why we offer:
- Thoughtful induction – full training, shadowing sessions and handovers so you feel prepared from day one.
- Professional development support – uncapped, goal-driven PD with both internal and external opportunities.
- All the tools you need – personal desk space, iPad, therapy resource pack, and access to a shared resource library.
- Client-free Friday afternoons – dedicated time for planning, admin and team connection.
- Supportive supervision – regular 1:1 and peer supervision, designed to grow your confidence.
- Paid travel time + mileage – we value your time when seeing mobile clients.
- A positive team culture – friendly, relaxed, and team-oriented, with regular catch-ups and events.
Requirements
- Successful completion of a Bachelor or Masters in Occupational Therapy and registration with AHPRA
- A Working With Children's Check (WWCC), Child Safe Environments (CSE) and Reporting Abuse and Neglect (RRAN-EC) certification, or willingness to apply.
- A reliable vehicle and valid Australian Driver's License.
What We're Looking For
- Genuine passion for working with children, families and communities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Organised, adaptable, and ready to learn
- Previous experience with disability and/or paediatrics (desirable, but not essential)
- Knowledge of NDIS (desirable)
