Sleep Technician

Join Sleep WA, a leading provider of comprehensive sleep and respiratory medicine led by Dr. Jack Philpott, a distinguished Respiratory and Sleep Physician. We're expanding our team and are currently seeking a dedicated health professional to join us on a part-time basis, focusing on 1 - 2 evening shifts (6pm - 11pm) and 1 - 2 overnight shifts (9:30pm - 7:30am) a week, conducting diagnostic PSG sleep studies in a hospital setting.

As a member of our team, you'll have the opportunity for career advancement, with potential for full-time employment, PAP therapy and respiratory testing. While experience in sleep studies and PAP therapy is valued, we offer comprehensive training for successful candidates.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) or equivalent qualification.
• Current Senior First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within the first 3 months.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work autonomously.
• Valid C-class license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Permanent residency or Australian citizenship.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

• RPSGT qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in sleep and respiratory science.
• Familiarity with shift work, including night shifts.

Role Overview:

As a Sleep Scientist at Sleep WA, you'll engage in various disciplines, including sleep, respiratory, and PAP therapy. This role will include:

• Welcoming patients to the clinic
• Setting the patients up and disconnecting sleep study equipment
• Implementing PAP therapy for patients diagnosed with sleep disorders.
• Stock management and data entry.
• Monitoring and observing the patient overnight during their sleep study
• PAP Titration Studies
