Medical Receptionist

Food Body Life has been operating on the Gold Coast for over 30 years. With two Practitioners working at one time it is a busy working environment requiring Receptionists with talented people skills, first class organisational skills and the ability to thrive on a demanding workload. The Receptionists play the key role in the smooth transition of patients from appointments, greetings, payments and letters to Doctors.

Skills and Experience:

Prior experience in a similar medical receptionist role is favourable. The Shexie software program is the basis for patient administrative organisation. Significant typing is required for correspondence with Doctors so fast typing skills and excellent time management are essential. Responsibility for patient communication prior to arrival and comfort upon arrival are keys to the role.

• A minimum of 1-2 years experience in a medical receptionist role is required.
• Typing speed of 60+ WPM is essential for this role.

Two Receptionists share this role. This position is for 3 days a week. They cooperatively cover each other for holidays and sick days. An eloquent phone manner, fast typing skills and experienced administrative and computer skills are essential to the role.
