Junior Medical Receptionist

Part Time - Junior Medical Receptionist Position Available

Maternity Leave - Set Contract 6 months to 1 year

Key responsibilities of the role:

- First impression of the practice as you meet and greet patients at the front desk.
- Cash handling and patient account processing to include Medicare and Health funds.
- Liaise with referrers, doctors, patients for delivery of patient medical results.
- Assistance with room changeovers, and to Sonographers.

To be considered you must have:

- A caring, can do attitude that enjoys being part a team.
- Enjoys being in an atmosphere where patients are excited and can relate to expectant mothers to be.
- Follows instructions clearly, is a fast learner and can adapt to change
- Experience in Radiology (ultrasound) practice ideally or knowledge of the medical industry
- Can follow instructions when prompted
- Excellent presentation, a high level of communication and patient care skills
- A can do attitude that builds rapport with patients, staff and professionals easily
- Competent computer skills and data entry - previous experience with booking program ideally.
- Can handle high pressure situations, eg. numerous phone calls and patients at front desk.
- Able to prioritise tasks.
- An eye for detail and the need to do things right
- Integrity, respect and professionalism
- Medicare knowledge and medical billing would be advantageous

This is a part time position to cover maternity leave from our full time staff for 6-12 months, with a possible opportunity to extend for the right applicant.
