We are partnered with a homegrown Australian business who are looking for a Senior Azure Data Engineer to take ownership of the modernisation their data infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to lead the development of a centralised data platform, work with cutting-edge Azure technologies and explore AI-driven use cases.

You will play a key role in shaping the future of their data capability, driving innovation, and setting the standard for data engineering within the organisation.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Designing, implementing & maintaining a centralised data platform to support analytics & AI initiatives
  • Leading the design and implementation of medallion architecture using Microsoft Fabric
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate data solutions that enable business insights & decision-making
  • Fostering best practices in data engineering
  • Exploring and implementing AI/ML use cases to enhance business processes

Skills we are looking for:

  • Strong experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse - Microsoft Fabric experience is highly advantageous
  • Programming in SQL, Python, PySpark
  • Experience working on/building centralised data platforms and integrating multiple data sources
  • Knowledge of data governance including quality and security
  • Excellent communication & problem-solving skills
