Job Opportunity: Advanced/Specialist - Senior Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner

Location: Brisbane / Hybrid

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a holistic and evidence-based approach to Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

  • Conducting thorough functional behavioural assessments.

  • Developing detailed PBS plans and interim support plans.

  • Implementing strategies to effectively reduce the frequency and duration of behaviours of concern and minimize the need for restrictive practices.

  • Collaborating with allied health professionals and participants' families and/or carers to address individual needs.

  • Monitoring and reporting on participant progress towards NDIS goals and the therapeutic impact of behaviour strategies.

  • Reporting the use of restrictive practices.

  • Delivering organization-wide education and training programs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • A degree in allied health or social and behavioural sciences.

  • Demonstrated experience in service provision, particularly with complex needs.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the NDIS and the Positive Behaviour Support Capability Framework.
