Role Description

We are seeking a motivated and
experienced

Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our remote team in Brisbane City, Moreton Bay and surrounds. This is a contract position offering the flexibility to work from home while making a meaningful contribution to the lives of our participants.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

  • Implementing individualised behaviour support plans.
  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify and understand behaviour and communication
  • Providing direct support to participants, utilising evidence-based strategies to promote positive behaviour change.
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, including families, carers, and other professionals, to ensure a holistic approach and increase quality of life
  • Reducing restrictive practices and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • A strong understanding of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or psychology principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Positive Behaviour Support, Social Work, Health Science, Psychology, Disability Studies, or similar or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of experience as a behaviour practitioner will be highly regarded.
