Lower North Shore | Full-Time | Friendly, Growing Bookkeeping Practice
We're a small, expanding bookkeeping practice based on Sydney's Lower North Shore, looking for an experienced Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to join our friendly team.
This is a diverse, hands-on role where you'll manage your own client work and support the day-to-day running of the office. If you're someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and being part of a collaborative, people-focused workplace — we'd love to hear from you.
Our office is conveniently located near cafés, shops, and on a bus route from the CBD and Chatswood.
What you'll do
- Manage daily office administration
- Process invoices, reconciliations, payroll and reporting in Xero and QBO
- Prepare and send invoices
- Manage payroll, including reviewing wage increases (Fair Work)
- Complete BAS, IAS, payroll tax and superannuation
- Perform GL reconciliations (loans, liabilities & intercompany)
- Review client figures and follow up on accounts receivable
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and management reports
- Identify and help implement workflow improvements
- Support add-on integrations and staff training
- Assist the business owner with ad hoc admin tasks
What you'll bring
- Around 3-5 years' experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- A Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or relevant Accounting qualification.
- Strong knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks Online (QBO), and Excel
- Excellent communication and attention to detail
- A proactive, organised approach and a friendly, professional manner
- Enjoy working in a small team and building great client relationships
