The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a 1st or 2nd year Lawyer in Commercial Dispute Resolution. The role is based in our head office in Campbelltown. We are looking for an applicant who has a keen interest in this area of law and aspires to a long term career, with opportunities for progression, within our growing Commercial Dispute Resolutionpractice.

You will be given an opportunity to work in a fast paced environment with exposure to a diverse range of commercial and equity matters including building and construction disputes, corporate and share-holder disputes, contractual disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, employment law and wills and estates litigation.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • assisting solicitors with the conduct of matters across different jurisdictions including NCAT, Local Court, District Court and Supreme Court of NSW and Federal Court, including with;

     - drafting court documents including Affidavits, Statements of Claim and Defences;
  • attending client conferences, contested hearings and mediations;
  • prepare and collate briefs to Counsel and Court Books.
  • preparation of draft advices to clients; and
  • undertaking legal research.
