Job Description

  • Lead the design and delivery of innovative aircraft cabin product that define a premium customer experience across digital and physical touchpoints.
  • Lead the revitalisation of Qantas' fleet with over 100 aircraft on order and many retrofits
  • Influence strategy at the executive level and drive initiatives that enhance our market position and unlock new revenue opportunities.

We're seeking a visionary leader to shape the future of our aircraft products portfolio and deliver an exceptional end-to-end customer experience. As
Head of Aircraft Cabin and IFEC Product
, you'll own the strategy and execution across an integrated digital and physical customer journey, driving innovation and consistency that reflects our premium brand. This role oversees three core areas: Cabin Interior Development, Cabin Condition and Health Monitoring, and IFEC & Digital Cabin.

You'll lead customer-driven innovation, product lifecycle best practices, and commercial input while fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture across internal teams and suppliers. Acting as a trusted advisor to the Executive Manager Inflight Customer Experience and senior leaders, you'll drive aircraft product strategy, customer service propositions, and revenue opportunities.

You'll have –

  • Minimum 8 years in senior leadership roles within the airline industry, with strong expertise in operations, customer service, and product management.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering innovative cabin solutions, seating programs, and passenger experience products from concept to operational implementation.
  • Deep experience managing complex aircraft product development cycles, including linefit and retrofit programs across multiple aircraft types.
  • Hands-on experience working with aviation authorities (CASA, FAA, EASA) on product certification and regulatory approvals.
  • Skilled in leading diverse teams across Engineering, Operations, Commercial, and supplier networks in an airline or aerospace environment.
  • Track record of developing and securing approval for major capital investment business cases, with strong P&L and business fundamentals focus.
  • Ability to lead large teams, manage suppliers and partners, influence in matrix structures, and drive change management initiatives.
  • Strong capability in strategic thinking, research and insights, human-centered design, and agile methodologies to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
