About the role

Shanahan Family Law is seeking a talented Junior Family Lawyer (1–3 Years PAE) to join our dynamic and supportive team in Maroochydore, Queensland. In this full-time role, you will provide high-quality legal services to clients navigating family law matters while building your expertise under strong mentorship and guidance.

What you'll be doing

  • Advising clients on a range of Family Law matters, including divorce, parenting, property settlements, and maintenance
  • Conducting legal research and drafting affidavits, applications, and correspondence
  • Representing clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations
  • Collaborating closely with senior lawyers and the broader team to ensure exceptional outcomes
  • Staying up to date with developments in family law legislation and best practice
  • Building and maintaining strong, respectful client relationships

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years post-admission experience in Family Law
  • Strong knowledge of Family Law legislation and court procedures
  • Excellent communication, drafting, and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • A genuine commitment to client care and professional growth
