  • Salary range – $80,000- $84,999
  • Up to $7000 for relocation, as well as scholarship and bursary grants available
  • Salary sacrificing up to $15,900 & 5 weeks annual leave

Anglicare NT is seeking a passionate and qualified Mental Health Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary team at headspace Katherine. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young people aged 12–25, delivering early intervention mental health care in a culturally respectful and community-driven environment.

About the Role:

As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will:

Conduct clinical assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions for young people with mild to moderate mental health concerns

Provide youth-friendly, family-inclusive, and culturally appropriate services

Facilitate warm referrals to internal and external services

Support intake processes, group work, and community awareness sessions

Collaborate with the Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker to deliver culturally safe care to Aboriginal young people

Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to continuous quality improvement

About You:

You are a compassionate and skilled clinician who thrives in a collaborative, trauma-informed, and culturally diverse setting. You bring:

  • A tertiary qualification in a mental health-related discipline (e.g., Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Psychologist, Counsellor, Aboriginal Health Practitioner)
  • Registration with AHPRA or relevant professional body (or willingness to undertake relevant studies)
  • Experience working with young people in mental health or youth services
  • Understanding of co-morbidities, best practice treatment options, and youth development
  • Commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Strong data management and electronic record-keeping skills
