Construction Recruitment Group are working closely with a HVAC and Electrical company in Mackay. They are on the hunt for a new HVAC and Electrical Operations Manager to join their team.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC & Electrical Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, manage technicians, and ensure the safe and efficient completion of all HVAC and electrical works. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver results under pressure.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervise and coordinate HVAC and electrical teams on maintenance, repair, and installation projects
  • Plan, allocate, and monitor work schedules to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to field staff
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and management to maintain clear communication on project progress
  • Prepare reports, documentation, and ensure accurate record-keeping
  • Mentor and train junior technicians to build team capability

What we're looking for

  • Trade qualification in HVAC, electrical, or related discipline (dual trade highly desirable)
  • Current electrical licence and/or refrigeration certification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in HVAC/electrical services with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards, codes, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
