Job Description

Data, Reporting & Operations Management (DROM) Team – Australia

The DROM Team is responsible for the management of local regulatory compliance and risk management obligations.

Joining the Governance & Controls (G&C) team, you will actively engage with the broader Global Banking Operations (GBO) team to ensure obligations are met and projects are strategically managed for delivery within agreed timelines.

This position requires frequent interaction with local Payment Operations, Financial Crimes Compliance, and other Compliance partners, and requires the ability to handle multiple workstreams simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily regulatory reporting; actively manage and mitigate regulatory risk.
  • Implement change resulting from regulatory mandates and offshoring initiatives.
  • Be accountable for the management and closure of operational control gaps.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely; adhere to the "identify, escalate, debate" principle.
  • Achieve satisfactory results from internal audits and targeted risk assessments.
  • Deliver effectively in a high-pressure and evolving work environment.
  • Demonstrate consistency, reliability, and strong organizational skills to meet deadlines.
  • Be a team player with conduct consistent with organizational core values and principles.

Valuable Experience

  • 5+ years in Global Banking/Markets Operations or Operational Risk, particularly in Payment Operations.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting and process improvement.
  • Ability to effectively partner with and influence other business units.
  • Proven track record in managing operational and/or regulatory risk.
  • Strong understanding of the Australian regulatory environment.
  • Experience with AUSTRAC obligations: IFTI, Section 49, and TTR reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and evidence-based decision-making approach.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA.
