The Opportunity
We're looking for a strategic and experienced
Distribution Manager
to lead the operations of our NSW Distribution Centre. In this high-impact role, you'll be responsible for overseeing the entire distribution function - from warehouse and inventory management through to customer-focused last-mile delivery.
As a key player within the Supply Chain team, you'll drive operational performance, labour efficiency, inventory accuracy and safety compliance. You'll lead and develop a high-performing team while collaborating closely with key internal and external stakeholders, including third-party logistics providers and King Living's customer service and retail functions.
If you're a hands-on leader with a passion for process improvement, team development, and customer service excellence, this is your opportunity to make a lasting contribution at a premium global brand.
The Role
- Lead all Distribution Centre operations including receiving, storage, inventory, despatch, and last-mile delivery
- Manage and support warehouse supervisors, team leaders, operations staff, and delivery drivers
- Partner with returns and refurbishment teams to ensure accurate and efficient inbound processing
- Monitor and improve KPIs such as stock accuracy, outbound timeliness, and cost per CBM
- Ensure staffing levels and resource allocation meet operational needs during peak and off-peak periods
- Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and implement inventory control strategies
- Collaborate with Retail, Customer Service, and Supply Chain teams to meet service level expectations
- Oversee relationships with 3PL providers and transport partners to ensure service quality and cost efficiency
- Uphold warehouse cleanliness and enforce material handling best practices
- Champion safety and compliance by conducting toolbox talks, training, and workplace inspections
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across workflow, space utilisation, and labour management
- Lead a culture of accountability, professionalism and high performance throughout the operation
About You
- You bring strong experience in warehouse or distribution leadership, ideally within a high-volume, customer-centric operation
- You're a confident people leader, with a track record of building and motivating effective teams
- You have strong working knowledge of WMS systems and warehouse planning best practices
- You're highly organised, operationally focused, and passionate about driving performance through clear KPIs
- You have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, working seamlessly across internal teams and external suppliers
- You understand the importance of compliance and are committed to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
- You are financially aware, with the ability to manage budgets and control operational costs
- You stay up to date with supply chain innovations and are comfortable exploring technologies like RFID, barcoding, and IoT
- You're proactive, adaptable, and thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments
