Role purposeThe Project Manager – Global Projects is responsible for the delivery of a set international projects at IDP across Language Testing business lines.
Working with IDP delivery teams across multiple international locations, you are responsible for the day-to-day management and smooth delivery of Business Change, Transformation and Technology projects. We are looking for someone who is methodical, understands technology, communicates well and has proven delivery over a wide range of projects and project management disciplines. Prior experience delivering global change and/or Identity management systems is desirable.
You should be able to manage and deliver project outcomes within quality, time and budget requirements whilst ensuring a focus on the customer.
This is a full-time permanent position based out of our corporate office at Melbourne.
Project ManagementParticipate in coordinating an effective project working groups, with regular reporting
Where necessary coordinate internal resources and vendors with a culture of collaboration and accountability
Work closely with the Product Owners to manage the product backlog, prioritise, coordinate requirements, design, testing and change management activities
Establishing and chair regular project meetings and facilitating problem solving as required
Measure project performance using tools and techniques and Report and escalate to management as needed
Work with the Product Owners to manage the relationship with sponsors and stakeholders
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
Prepare project status reports, presentations, agendas and minutes, and maintain logs and registers.
Ensuring project communication is clear to all whilst being on time
Take an active part in the project issue/risk management process, by contributing to the identification and prioritisation of existing and potential issues and risks and developing strategies and controls to mitigate these.
Manage project plans (sometimes multiple plans), reviewing the plans regularly to ensure tasks and milestones are being achieved in a timely manner.
Follow up on any actions, quickly address any difficulties, and escalate issues with the Business Sponsor where necessary
Communication and collaborationThis is a global role and needs global collaboration to deliver, including:
Collaboration with internal and external teams globally to design, develop, test and implement projects
Engage and influence disparate stakeholder groups to smooth the path for delivery activities
Attending and chairing key communities and meetings to ensure you have the latest view
Required experienceProject Management certification
Experience in working in dynamic global environment
Advanced stakeholder engagement skills
Influencing skills – able to articulate a viewpoint with clarity and conviction and positively influence stakeholders
Relationship management – building and maintaining strong and trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Adept at building effective client relationships and working with several stakeholders to deliver targets
Multi-tasker with ability to juggle many projects
Proven experience of effectively managing large-scale projects from brief through to delivery
Adept at building effective client relationships and working with several stakeholders to deliver targets
Experienced in a range of project management disciplines including PRINCE2, Agile and Waterfall
Ability to work under pressure, change direction when required and work on a range of client projects at the same time
Ability to participate with global stakeholder meetings outside of standard business hours
Advanced communication skills
Strong Leadership skills
Cross cultural awareness and sensitivity, respecting diversity
Desirable
Experience delivering global change projects
Experience with Identity Management systems
PMP / PRINCE II / Agile certification well regarded
Accomplished knowledge of the education industry
