Perth, Western Australia Louvre Shade Full time $40,000 - $60,000 per year

We're a fast-growing, family-run business specialising in premium louvre roof systems, and we're looking for a capable, detail-oriented Trades Assistant to join our team.

Experience is a bonus but we welcome applicants with the right attitude, initiative and willingness to learn.

This vacancy would suit someone who will commit long term, so please do not apply if you are on a working holiday visa.

We are based south of Perth, so the ideal candidate would be from a similar area, but we would welcome applicants from further afield if they have the skills that we require.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Driving to site or option of collecting a company truck each morning from our yard and travelling to sites across the Perth metro area (occasional country/South West projects).
  • Assisting in all stages of installation – from cutting and drilling aluminium, erecting frameworks, and fitting louvre blades, to final handover to the client.
  • Supporting tradesmen on site with tools, materials, and tasks.
  • Reading and interpreting plans to assist with accurate installations.
  • Helping with 24V low-voltage electrical work.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Shows initiative and a determination to learn.
  • Can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Is confident using power tools, including mitre saws and drills.
  • Holds a current White Card.
  • Is punctual, reliable, and takes pride in their work.
  • Is physically fit and able to lift heavy materials.
  • Holds a current C-class driver's licence.

Bonus skills (not required, but highly desirable):

  • Forklift licence.
  • Working at Heights ticket.
  • Confident towing and driving with a trailer.
