About the role:

Support Food Service delivery at Uniting AgeWell (Location) by providing a service in accordance with the current planned menu and requirements of the Food Safety Program, that supports and enhances resident's individual needs and wellbeing.

Tasks include:

  • Working within a multidisciplinary team, maintaining daily and periodic cleaning schedules for food preparation and food service areas
  • Serving residents meals in dining hall services and trolley service to rooms, washing dishes, sandwich making, providing cups of tea or coffee to residents and their visitors
  • Provide feedback regarding residents' likes and dislikes regarding menu planning and escalate any observations or concerns in residents conditions
  • Promote and participate in quality activities, and provide outstanding customer service maintaining friendly, supportive and professional relationships with residents, their relatives and friends
  • Support colleagues by sharing knowledge and expertise

About you:

  • Have experience and expertise working in food service; preferably in a health, hotel or aged care setting
  • Part Time opportunity working either 7am-3pm or 11am - 6pm
  • Can work at a fast pace as part of a team
  • Are experienced in customer service and provide excellent standard of service
  • Have the initiative and ability to work without supervision
  • Thrive in a team and also appreciate the one to one interactions

Essentials for working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Vulnerable People card
  • Current and ongoing flu vaccinations
