We are committed to delivering services anchored in approved clinical guidelines, governance standards, and best-practice approaches. Our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and TMS technicians work collaboratively to provide integrated care, guided by the recovery model and a bio-psycho-social approach.
The Role
We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and autonomous TMS Technician to join our Hobart clinic. - Strictly adhere to all organisational policies, procedures, and clinical governance frameworks.
- Deliver additional treatments within scope of practice as new therapies are introduced (e.g., Esketamine), following appropriate training.
- Provide clear education and reassurance to clients about the TMS process, ensuring informed consent and comfort.
- Monitor clients during sessions, promptly escalating concerns or adverse events in line with protocols.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
- Liaise with psychiatrists, mental health clinicians, and administrative staff to ensure seamless care planning.
- Conduct routine equipment checks and maintenance, escalating technical issues when required.
- Assist with scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups to support continuity of care.
- Participate in clinical supervision, professional development, and team-based case discussions.
- Uphold infection control protocols and Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards consistent with Safe Work Australia guidelines.
- Contribute to community engagement initiatives to raise awareness of TMS services.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement, including feedback collection, service evaluation, and refinement of TMS protocols.
Requirements
- Relevant qualifications and/or experience in healthcare, mental health, neurotechnology, or related fields (nursing qualifications highly desirable).
- TMS Technician certification, or willingness to complete training (training provided).
- Previous experience in mental health or allied health settings within Australia is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of recovery principles, trauma-informed care, and culturally safe practice.
