About the Role

Grimmond Construction is seeking an experienced and skilled Site Supervisor to join our team in Burleigh Heads, Queensland. As our Site Supervisor, you will play a vital role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed to the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency. This is a full-time position based on-site in Burleigh Heads.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Coordinate and supervise a team of construction workers, tradespeople and subcontractors to ensure all tasks are completed to specification and on schedule
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols to protect the wellbeing of the workforce and public
  • Liaise with clients, architects, and other stakeholders to provide progress updates and resolve any issues that arise
  • Manage the procurement and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment
  • Identify and address any operational or logistical challenges to keep projects running smoothly
  • Maintain detailed records and documentation related to the construction process
  • Mentor and develop more junior members of the construction team

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience (5+ years) as a Site Supervisor or Foreperson in the construction industry
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills to coordinate complex projects
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Relevant qualifications in construction management, engineering, or a related field
  • Current driver's licence and construction industry safety certification
