Role details

The Food and Linen Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Menu Monitor to join their team on a temporary basis.

Your opportunity

• To assist in the provision of a high-quality nutrition and food service to Mackay Base Hospital consumers.
• To provide leadership to Food Services staff and participate, co-ordinate and supervise in the provision of a high standard of service by ensuring all established policies, practice guidelines and standards are maintained.

About the Team

The Mackay Base Hospital provides a comprehensive healthcare environment that has been designed with a patient friendly approach to layout and location of services. Food Services plays an important role in the provision of a 7-day week service supporting the delivery of quality and cost-effective health service through the provision of nutritional meals to patients.

Food is prepared using a Cook Fresh service model under strict Food Safety Standards (FSANZ) and the Queensland Health Nutrition Standards for Meals and Menus. Food Services currently produces and provides over meals and over 6 000 sandwiches per month, while additional services are provided to patients through means of three daily mid-meals.
