Role Overview:
The Marketing Communications Coordinator drives the development, coordination, and delivery of marketing, communications, and promotional activities that enhance brand awareness, engage stakeholders, and drive participation in organisational initiatives.
This role works collaboratively across the organisation to produce high-quality content, manage digital and social media channels, and assist in the implementation of campaigns and events, ensuring all communications are consistent with brand guidelines and organisational values. It has a great deal of autonomy as it is our only dedicated marketing role in the organisation presenting a creative opportunity to shape messaging and brand for Reach and the young people it serves.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Develop and deliver high-quality content for digital platforms (website, social media, newsletters) that promotes Reach's programs, success stories, and events. Support working with an outsourced provider/supplier/agency as directed.Brand Management:
Ensure that all external communications align with Reach's branding guidelines and amplify the organisation's visibility in line with strategic objectives.Campaign Coordination:
Plan and implement targeted marketing and communication campaigns to promote Reach's initiatives, including workshops and fundraising events.Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to generate marketing materials and public relations content.Social Media Management:
Develop, schedule, and manage posts across social media platforms to engage key audiences and raise awareness of Reach's programs.Event Promotion:
Support the promotion and marketing of key Reach events and campaigns, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.Reporting:
Track and report on key metrics to evaluate the success of marketing and communications initiatives, using insights to inform future strategy.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
Skills and Experience:
- Essential minimum two years proven experience in marketing and communications
- Strong content creation and social media management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for diverse audiences.
- Experience in digital marketing, campaign management, or public relations.
- Proficiency with marketing tools such as CRM platforms, website CMS, and graphic design software.
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with youth empowerment programs or similar organisations.
- Working independently in delivering high quality marketing outcomes
- Creatively working with lean budgets and resources
- Supplier management including agency interactions
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications and/or Public Relations, or equivalent industry experience.
Child Safety:
- Experience in upholding Child Safe standards and practices.
- Proven knowledge, skills and awareness of keeping children and young people safe from harm, including those from diverse backgrounds and vulnerabilities.
- Possess an outlook to constantly review and improve, where needed, procedures and best practices to ensure Reach upholds the 11 Child Safety Standards.
