Your new role
Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Advisor Grants to lead the strategic planning, preparation, and submission of high-value grant applications. This role is instrumental in securing funding for key initiatives that drive regional growth and development.
Reporting to senior leadership, the successful candidate will provide expert advice on regional development policy, identify and pursue funding opportunities, and foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and government agencies.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications and extensive relevant experience, including expertise in grant writing, advocacy, policy analysis, strategic planning, and regional development within a government or similar context.
- Strong understanding of regional development principles, government policy, and legislative frameworks, with the ability to provide strategic advice and innovative funding proposals.
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide clear, evidence-based recommendations
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies
