We are seeking a motivated and highly skilled Infrastructure Advisor to provide expert advice and consultancy services on facilities planning, investment, asset management and capital works delivery. This position plays a pivotal role in supporting schools, regional centres and stakeholders by ensuring the effective management of infrastructure that across Queensland.

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will be part of a collaborative team within the Infrastructure Services Division working closely with schools, senior management and external service providers.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide client-focused facilities services and advice to schools, staff and the wider education community.
  • Deliver high-level advice on facilities planning, investment, maintenance and asset management.
  • Coordinate with regional teams, Infrastructure Services Division, and external service providers to support effective service delivery.
  • Manage the delivery of capital works, maintenance programs and facilities services within scope, budget and timeframes.
  • Prepare reports, briefing notes and ministerial responses on infrastructure and asset management matters.
  • Contribute to operational audits, risk management processes and governance requirements.
  • Support and mentor regional staff in building infrastructure-related knowledge and capability.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong expertise in facilities planning, asset management, capital works or related fields.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure services in complex environments with the ability to manage budgets, scope, and timeframes effectively.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and provide strategic advice.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Sound governance and risk management awareness.
  • A proactive, innovative and solutions-focused mindset, with the ability to embrace change and lead confidently in dynamic environments.
