What we are looking for:

We're looking for two skilled Infrastructure Civil Engineers to lead water infrastructure projects with a focus on quality, safety, and teamwork in a dynamic local government setting.

What your day will look like:

  • Lead project delivery from design through commissioning and handover
  • Manage external consultants and contractors to ensure compliance & quality
  • Prepare tender documentation, contracts, and project schedules
  • Provide engineering advice on operational and legislative matters
  • Ensure projects meet budget, timeline, and safety standards
  • Report progress and financial impacts to senior management

What you'll need for success:

  • Degree-level Engineering qualification (recognised by Engineers Australia)
  • Proven experience delivering capital works, preferably in water/wastewater
  • Strong project and contract management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, environmental & quality standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Current Queensland Class C Driver's Licence & White Card

What's nice to have:

  • Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) certification
  • Previous Local Government experience
