Your Employer
Our client is a fourth-generation, family-owned agribusiness with a rich legacy in cotton and livestock, now proudly diversified into cropping, citrus, and almonds. With over 60 permanent staff and operations across multiple regional sites, the business has experienced strong, sustained growth driven by investment, innovation, and a commitment to sustainability.
As part of a broader agricultural group with ventures across citrus and almonds, the company continues to evolve its premium horticulture and cropping operations. A strong emphasis is placed on people, culture, and safety, making this a rare opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a progressive, values-driven rural enterprise.
The Role
This role is central to maintaining a high-performing and engaged workforce. Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, you'll be responsible for full-spectrum HR management—recruitment, onboarding, performance, accommodation, compliance, and workers' compensation.
You'll also partner with external consultants for complex IR matters and lead initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage end-to-end HR processes across recruitment, onboarding, contracts, and reviews
- Liaise with HR consultants for IR/ER compliance and support
- Oversee workers' compensation, injury management, and return-to-work coordination
- Maintain HR systems, training records, and employee documentation
- Manage housing for seasonal and permanent staff (approx. 30 housings)
- Forecast workforce needs and support employer branding and social media initiatives
- Champion employee engagement, training opportunities, and leadership development
About You
You're a HR professional with a practical, down-to-earth approach and the confidence to work across all levels of a dynamic, regionally based business.
You thrive on variety and autonomy and are excited by the opportunity to manage broad HR responsibilities in a hands-on setting.
We're looking for:
- Demonstrated HR management/advisory experience (ag or regional industry preferred)
- Solid Fair Work and award compliance knowledge
- Proven injury management and return-to-work coordination skills
- Housing/accommodation oversight experience (desirable)
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to work independently across sites and manage multiple priorities
- Tertiary qualification in HR (or equivalent experience)
The Benefits:
You'll play a pivotal role in a growing agribusiness with the full support of leadership and expert consultants. Located in Narrabri, this role offers regional lifestyle benefits, career development, and involvement in exciting growth initiatives.
Remuneration and job perks include:
- Negotiable salary based on experience
- Relocation assistance considered
- Use of work vehicle (negotiable)
- Involvement in strategic workforce planning
- Professional development support
