Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Director, North Asia to join International, International and Business Development, Chancellery Division.
The Director, North Asia provides strategic and operational leadership for the University's international recruitment, strategic partnerships and projects and other activities in North Asia to achieve the University's international objectives.

What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of postgraduate qualifications in conjunction with extensive relevant experience in managing and leading international relations and/or recruitment teams within particularly reference to North Asia.
- Extensive record of success developing and implementing strategically aligned international plans targeting North Asia.
- Detailed knowledge of current international higher education issues in North Asia, including risk management and contingency planning.
- Demonstrated extensive leadership and management skills including the ability to build, lead, motivate and manage a diverse and effective team to achieve high standards of client services, team-work and integrity.
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation, written and oral communication skills coupled with cultural sensitivity and the ability to establish positive working relations with employees, managers, executive staff members and external stakeholders (nationally and internationally) to ensure high quality business outcomes.
- Evidence of ability to evaluate situations and information and make decisions on own initiative, combined with the ability to consult with others in order to inform, facilitate and expedite decision making.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in business process improvement and in establishing and maintaining an effective health and safety culture.
Desirable: - Extensive experience in the tertiary education sector or large organisation.
- Functional knowledge of a second language.
