About the role

Fixed term temporary full time opportunity to provide clinical leadership and assistance in the management of the specialist unit of Cardiac Transplant and Advanced Heart Failure, within the program of Cardiology at The Prince Charles Hospital.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Assist the Director with appropriate budget review in conjunction with the Cost Centre manager for the area and the Program Management team
  • Provide guidance and leadership on the Strategic Direction and Vision of the Unit to the Program and to the Hospital, District, Area and Queensland Health as required
  • Conduct and supervise registrar/fellow training programs including written records of regular reviews of progress - in keeping with requirements of the overseeing organisation.
  • Establish, foster and coordinate an active multi-disciplinary research program culture - including as many of the Unit's team members as possible
