Landscaping By Design is a proud Commercial landscaping company which has been operating in Sydney for over 25 years.

We are currently looking for a keen and motivated person with a passion for working outdoors with attention to detail.

Working across both our maintenance and landscaping teams, we are currently offering a full-time position (potentially Part-Time) for a Lawn & garden Maintenance Team Member servicing sites across Sydney.

Position Details:

  • Work Schedule: 40 Hours a week (Monday to Friday).
  • Payment: Competitive hourly wages.
  • Vehicle provision: For work use, manual.
  • Team Environment: Autonomous & Collaborative team setting.
  • Supplies: Uniform, PPE and tools provided.
  • Training: Access to professional training opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Perform a range of grounds maintenance tasks, including lawn mowing (both push and ride-on), gardening, checking irrigation, turfing and minor tree maintenance.
  • Working with commercial landscaping team as needed.
  • Proactively ensure the quality and safety of grounds maintenance activities.
  • Maintain and ensure the safe working order of all landscaping equipment.
  • Operate equipment and machinery safely and professionally.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) for various tasks.
  • Work effectively as part of a team, contributing to a positive and productive work culture.
  • Respond appropriately to supervisor's directions and adapt to diverse work environments and tasks.

Knowledge, Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience is desirable, but not essential. Training provided to keen individuals.
  • Candidates should possess a minimum of 6 months experience in gardening or grounds maintenance activities.
  • Working knowledge of basic grounds maintenance equipment.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety, including PPE requirements for grounds maintenance activities.

Essential Employment Requirements:

  • Current White Safety Card
  • Have a valid driver's license and can drive a Manual transmission.

Desirable Skills (Not Essential):

  • Formal qualifications in Horticulture, Landscape Construction, or related fields.
  • Chemical application certification.
