Now Careers is recruiting an experienced Design Managerfor their client a leading privately owned national Tier 2 builder with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across various sectors. They have a proven track record of delivering projects across the commercial, industrial, retail, aged care, and retirement living projects.

The OpportunityOur client is seeking an experienced  Design Manager to join our existing team in our Brisbane office. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and collaborate on a diverse range of projects, including new builds, fit-outs, and refurbishments. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design management process for projects across multiple sectors.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and compliance with client expectations.
  • Oversee the preparation of design documentation and ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage design reviews and provide constructive feedback to the design team.
  • Support the project management team to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, or a related field.
  • Previously experience having worked for the head contract on D&C projects would be advantageous
  • Strong knowledge of design principles and practices across commercial, industrial, retail, aged care, and retirement living sectors.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
