As the largest automotive content publisher in Australia (both written and video) millions of consumers rely on our independent, industry-leading voice to inform their new car purchases each month through our valuable tools, reports, news, car reviews, comparisons, videos and more.
We are constantly developing new products and usability improvements to further facilitate the purchase of new cars through the CarExpert website. Aided by a team of passionate car experts and a detailed strategy with clear purpose, we are continuing to experience rapid growth and are investing heavily to achieve our vision.
Job Summary
As the Director of Marketing, you will take ownership of CarExpert's marketing strategy, playing a critical leadership role in driving the company's brand growth, lead generation, and customer acquisition efforts. This is a highly strategic and hands-on role that requires a blend of creative vision, analytical thinking, and strong execution in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with overall business objectives and growth targets.

Strengthen brand positioning and awareness that delivers upon our value proposition and purpose, across key channels and customer segments.

Lead generation programs that drive volume increases to our forecast growth expectations whilst also improving percentage of qualified leads and their conversion from lead to sale.

Oversee performance marketing, digital, and social strategies, ensuring consistent brand and performance metrics are achieved.

Be the brand ambassador, collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Content and Leadership teams to ensure marketing efforts are aligned and measurable.

Build and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering innovation and continuous improvement with clear goals, objectives and KPI's to ensure success is achieved.

Analyse market trends and customer insights to inform strategy and uncover new growth opportunities.

Lead sponsorship and partnership initiatives with Seven West Media and ACM.

Develop strategies to increase customer acquisition, engagement, multi-product uptake and high levels of customer satisfaction. Implement loyalty programs, promotions and initiatives that enhance the customer experience and drive customer referrals.

Management of marketing budget to ensure effective ROI measures are achieved and ensure campaigns are analysed to forward growth initiatives.
Experience/skills

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role.

Proven experience in a senior leadership role, ideally in a high-growth or competitive industry.

An all-rounder with experience in publicity, advertising or marketing, implementing high volume, brand and tactical campaigns that builds brand equity consistently.

Track record of delivering measurable business results through integrated marketing campaigns.

Strong understanding of brand, performance, and product marketing.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Data-driven mindset with a bias toward action and experimentation and strong knowledge of marketing tools (Google Analytics etc).

Experience working in a fast moving, high growth environment which is constantly changing and incredibly competitive.

Prior experience marketing a prominent B2C online platform is highly desirable.
