About the Role

We're seeking a motivated Sales Representative to join our team at our Kippa-Ring branch. In this hybrid role, you'll combine field visits, office-based work and remote tasks to manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers whilst actively developing new business opportunities across the automotive refinish, commercial vehicle manufacturing and industrial coatings sectors.

You will not be required to handle hands-on technical training or complex troubleshooting. Manufacturer partners such as PPG and 3M provide that support. Your role is centred on excellent account management, superior customer service and driving sales growth across your territory.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining strong, long-term relationships with customers across the territory
  • Growing sales across existing and new accounts
  • Providing product information and helping clients achieve positive outcomes
  • Managing leads, quotes, and follow-ups accurately
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience

Experience in selling automotive refinish, spray painting, or industrial coatings is highly desirable — though candidates with relevant workshop experience and an interest in sales will also be considered.

Candidates may have either sales 3-5 years of sales experience or workshop experience with an interest in transitioning to sales, as both backgrounds are acceptable for this role.

In this role, you will manage a loyal portfolio of existing customers whilst actively identifying new business opportunities across smash repair, commercial vehicle manufacturing, industrial coatings applications, and specialty coating sectors. You will be the face of Peninsula Paint Supplies in the field, building lasting relationships with decision-makers and delivering tailored product solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers through regular site visits and ongoing communication
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with smash repairers, commercial vehicle workshops, and industrial clients
  • Provide product advice, technical support, and solutions tailored to customer needs
  • Identify new business opportunities and convert leads into sales
  • Collaborate with warehouse and technical teams to ensure efficient service delivery
  • Maintain accurate customer records and activity tracking in our CRM system

What You'll Bring

  • A positive attitude and the confidence to talk with customers
  • Experience in automotive refinish, spray painting, or coatings (or a genuine interest to learn)
  • Proven experience in automotive refinish or coatings is preferred, though candidates with a genuine interest to learn will be considered
  • Experience in automotive refinish sales, spray painting workshop, industrial coatings, or paint mixing
  • Automotive refinish qualifications or equivalent spray painter credentials (is highly desirable to provide product knowledge)
  • The ability to manage your own time and work independently, whilst also being happy engage and work with your team to achieve the best outcomes for our customers
  • Good communication skills and the willingness to problem-solve
  • A current driver's licence without restrictions
  • Basic computer skills using email and Microsoft programs with previous CRM experience as being advantageous but not necessary (Training will be provided)
