As a
Senior Lending Analyst,
you will be part of a national credit team who work collaboratively with our customer facing Agribusiness Relationship Managers and Associates.

Internally, your core focus will be the accurate completion of credit assessments including the preparation of complex credit memorandums and related analysis and covering all credit events.Externally, you will demonstrate a clear customer centric approach to ensure we meet our SLAs and help our customers thrive in their personal and professional lives by fulfilling their financial goals.

You will have the opportunity to expand your internal networks across various teams including credit and sales, attending development sessions including deal workshops and MCDC meetings. Most importantly with significant support from our leaders, coach's and SMEs, you will develop and refine your own credit writing and analytical skills to help advance your banking career.

In this role you will get to do:

  • Lead complex agribusiness loan applications: Manage the entire lifecycle, from initial assessment and financial analysis to final settlement, for loans up to $50 million.
  • Develop and mentor junior analysts: Provide expert guidance and training on financial analysis, credit writing, and risk assessment, fostering a high-performing team.
  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis: Evaluate complex financial statements, cash flows, and collateral to assess creditworthiness and mitigate risk for large agribusiness clients.
  • Champion best practice credit risk management: Maintain an expert understanding of relevant regulations and industry trends, ensuring compliance and proactively identifying emerging risks.
  • Enhance your expertise: Continuously develop your skills in agricultural finance, credit analysis, and risk management to stay ahead of industry changes.
  • Drive strategic growth within the Agribusiness lending portfolio: Stay up to date with industry trends, policies and regulations - broadening your knowledge of agricultural markets, commodity and property values and market trends to strengthen our strategy.

What you'll bring to the role

To succeed in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in financial analysis and interpretation of financial statements is required.
  • An understanding of the Australian agricultural sector, seasonal conditions and client structures would be highly desirable.

  • A passion for coaching others and a desire to make a difference in the professional development of your peers.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively build relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Sound reasoning and problem-solving skills - demonstrated as the ability to identify a challenge and find a solution that is win-win for the business and customer.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Finance or similar would be beneficial.

This is a permanent full time. Hybrid ways of working are core to how we operate today with 60% of your work week spent based in
any Head Office or Regional Office nationwide
