Your New Role
The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the successful delivery of projects by the Investment Group Delivery team by conducting thorough analyses of existing business solutions to identify, design, prepare, and implement targeted enhancements. The role collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, vendors, suppliers, project team members, and business users to facilitate the onboarding of new business solutions, and the improvement of current systems. The objective is to enhance the Group's platforms, services, and capabilities to reinforce the overall operating model.
Key responsibilities will include;
- Act as SME and specialist across Capital Markets, Calypso and other execution management systems
- Contribute to all facets of the project delivery lifecycle from design, build, test, deployment, production support and transition to operations
- Undertake critical analysis of current state solutions to identify and document root causes of problems, whilst developing considerations for future state solutions
- Translate front, middle and back-office business requirements into Calypso functional requirements.
- Analyse source data to map data to target application including transformation logic
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops to support requirements elicitation, issue identification, solution design, decision making
- Manage our vendors and strategic partners using your extensive domain expertise within the platform
What You'll Need
- Ability to translate front, middle and back-office business requirements into Calypso functional requirements
- Operational experience within Collateral, Middle Office, Trade Support / Bookings, Corporate Actions, Settlements & Confirmations, Payments, Reconciliations, Regulatory Reporting, Performance & Attribution, Securities Lending/Securities Finance
- 7+ years of experience working as a business analyst or Calypso specialist in Capital markets
- Experience in E2E requirements management lifecycle
- Proven ability to synthesize detailed information and confidently present to senior stakeholders
- Proven facilitation skills and able to manage group dynamics that lead to the negotiation of successful outcomes
- Considerable product knowledge including the following financial instruments: MM Money Markets, (FI) Fixed Interest & (IR) Interest Rate, FX, Futures, Derivatives (Options & Swaps), OTC & Structured Products, Bonds & REPO's, CFD's, Asset Backed Securities
- Demonstrated ability in process modelling techniques and services
