About the role

This is an exciting part-time opportunity to join the Credit team at Northern Lending Solutions in Broadmeadows, Victoria. As a Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in the financial services industry, evaluating loan applications and assessing the creditworthiness of individuals and businesses.

What you'll be doing

  • Analysing financial information such as credit reports, income statements and balance sheets to determine the risk profile of loan applicants
  • Recommending appropriate credit decisions based on thorough assessments of the applicant's financial standing and ability to repay
  • Communicating effectively with both internal stakeholders and external clients throughout the credit assessment process
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation to support credit decisions
  • Identifying opportunities to improve credit evaluation processes and procedures
  • Staying up-to-date with industry regulations and compliance requirements

What we're looking for

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, economics or a related discipline
  • Demonstrable experience as a credit analyst or in a similar financial services role
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial information
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team members
  • Familiarity with credit risk assessment methodologies and industry regulations
