Male Disability Support Worker – Ascot Vale

We're seeking an experienced and compassionate MALE Disability Support Worker to support a 54-year-old Scottish gentleman living in his own home in Ascot Vale. Client is a friendly, social man who enjoys watching footy matches and visiting local cafés. He values good company, a sense of humour, and clear communication.

Location: Client's home in Ascot Vale

Client: Male, 54, post-stroke with left-side paralysis and mild cognitive impairment

About the Role You'll provide person-centred support with:

  • Personal care
  • Manual handling (essential skill)
  • Medication administration (training provided)
  • Community access & companionship
  • Light domestic assistance

Shifts available:

Monday, Wednesday and Weekends

  • Shift 1: 7:30am – 3:00pm
  • Shift 2: 4:00pm – 9:00pm

About You

  • Manual handling experience is a must
  • Kind, patient, and great with communication
  • Enjoys a laugh and building genuine connections
  • Comfortable around pets (Client has 2 dogs and 2 cats)
  • Open to training in medication administration and infection prevention control

Mandatory Requirements

  • Current First Aid & CPR
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • VIC Working With Children Check (Employee)
  • Valid driver's licence and comprehensive car insurance
  • Completion of NDIS Quality, Safety and You online module

Pay Rates

SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):

  • Base hourly rate: $35.15
  • Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $38.67
  • Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $39.37
  • Saturday: $49.21
  • Sunday: $63.27
  • Public holiday: $77.33
