About the Role

We are seeking a motivated
Program Advisor
on a 12-month contract with 2x12-month potential extensions to provide high-quality support across programs and projects for Queensland Government department. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and has a strong grasp of program and project management frameworks.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support program and project delivery across multiple initiatives within PRINCE2, Agile, and other frameworks.
  • Assist Program and Project Managers with documentation, business cases, reports, and quality assurance.
  • Coordinate governance forums, including agendas, minutes, presentations, and decision records.
  • Maintain accurate schedules, resource requests, and timesheet allocations.
  • Prepare and reconcile financial reports, tracking budgets, forecasts, variances, and billing.
  • Monitor and update risk, issue, and change registers.
  • Build strong working relationships to drive collaboration and successful outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and reporting.

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • Experience using Microsoft Project (Project Online) or similar scheduling and resource management tools.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in large, complex organisations, preferably within the public sector.
  • Knowledge or qualifications in program management frameworks (PRINCE2, Agile, MSP, or equivalent).

Highly regarded:

  • Previous experience working in an ICT environment.
