Heavy Trailer Mechanic - Full Time

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Vehicle Trailer Mechanic to join our team. This is a full-time day shift position conducting inspections, repairs and major servicing of heavy trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform major and minor electrical repairs on trailers

  • Perform major and minor repairs to trailer suspension and brake components.

  • Carry out tasks including the swap out of major and minor trailer components

  • Support general workshop duties related to trailer repair and maintenance

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong technical knowledge of heavy vehicle trailer systems and components

  • A problem-solving mindset and proactive work ethic

  • Reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Experience in mechanical repairs and servicing of semi-trailers

Desirable:

  • A Heavy Vehicle Driver's Licence (advantageous but not essential)

  • BPW & Hendrickson Airbag, EBS Brake experience (advantageous but not essential)

With the current demand for service and repairs, Rytrans has on offer, full time / permanent positions, supported with a well above award hourly rate package supplemented with plenty of overtime paid at penalty rates. Hours include Monday to Thursday 6am - 4pm with Fridays incorporating lunch time finish to those who wish to take advantage of a family work / life balance.
