About the role

We are seeking an experienced MC Livestock Driver to join our team at ABH Transport in Taroom, Queensland. As a full-time driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting livestock across regional Queensland. This is a crucial role that supports the efficient operations of our transport business and the success of our farming and livestock clients.

What you'll be doing

  1. Driving multi-combination (MC) vehicles to transport livestock across regional Queensland
  2. Ensuring the safe loading, transport and unloading of livestock
  3. Monitoring animal welfare and taking appropriate actions to ensure the wellbeing of livestock
  4. Complying with all relevant road transport regulations and safety standards
  5. Completing detailed trip logs and documentation
  6. Collaborating with farmers, producers and clients to meet their transport needs
  7. Performing routine maintenance and safety checks on your allocated vehicle

What we're looking for

  1. MC driver's licence with proven experience in livestock transport
  2. Strong knowledge of road transport regulations and animal welfare requirements
  3. Excellent driving skills and attention to detail
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  5. Flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and demands
  6. Passion for the road transport and livestock industries
